Solid starter book for algorithms There book is does a good job covering algorithms but it starts out pretty slow.It is geared towards those with little or no algorithm experience. There is stuff for more experienced readers but there are better books out there if you have a lot of experience.The "Kindle" version of this book only works in the kindle app It doesn't work on my brand new Kindle paperwhite, and it doesn't work in the kindle on-line reader. Also, the advertisement for this kindle book was moved. It had been changed to say "[tablet only]" but that's been removed even though the kindle version of this book still isn't an kindle device version of this book.Concise and clear book for those wanting to learn computer science I saw this on twitter and found it to be a useful primer to getting a handle on the computer science concepts that self-taught programmers may not have been exposed to. Most technical books are 500+ pages that don't tend to get finished -- not this book, which is a good thing as it makes it more digestible. If you're a coding newbie or a self-taught developer this is a well distilled book for those wanting to learn the initial fundamentals of computer science. I look forward to the second volume!
